I watch very little TV and even less than that is of reality TV. One show I’ve gotten into this season is Rockstar: Supernova. Basically is an American Idol for rock bands, it just happens that the rock band is a “super” group consisting of Gilby Clarke, Jason Newsted and Tommy Lee.

One of the contestants is a girl by the name of Zayra Alvarez. I’m pretty sure she gets her outfits from superherocostumes.com Take a look.

X-Men??

Batgirl??

Heroes - NBC Primetime Drama

Written by: Alec Peden - Posted in: tv

NBC announced there 2006-07 prime-time schedule today and one show stood out. Its called Heroes and looks to be a generic super-hero drama. With Ali Larter as a stripper?. Ok NBC, I’ll bite.

Ali-Larter2

HEROES — The epic drama Heroes chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. As a total eclipse casts it shadow across the globe, viewers follow a genetics professor (Sendhil Ramamurthy, Blind Guy Driving) in India whose father’s disappearance leads him to uncover a secret theory — there are people with super powers living among us. A young dreamer (Milo Ventimiglia, The Bedford Diaries) tries to convince his politician brother (Adrian Pasdar, Judging Amy) that he can fly. A high school cheerleader (Hayden Panettiere, Ice Princess) learns that she is totally indestructible. A Las Vegas stripper (Ali Larter, Final Destination), struggling to make ends meet to support her young son (Noah Gray-Cabey, My Wife & Kids), uncovers that her mirror image has a secret. A prison inmate (Leonard Roberts, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) mysteriously finds himself waking up outside of his cell. A gifted artist (Santiago Cabrera, Empire), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and the relationship with his girlfriend (Tawny Cypress, Third Watch), can paint the future. A down-on-his-luck beat cop (Greg Grunberg, Alias) can hear people’s thoughts, including the secrets of a captured terrorist. In Japan, a young man (Masi Oka, Scrubs) develops a way to stop time through sheer will power. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world. Heroes is executive produced by creator/writer Tim Kring (Crossing Jordan), Dennis Hammer (Crossing Jordan) and David Semel (House), who also directed the pilot. The drama is from NBC Universal Television Studio.

Lost is found. The best theory to date.

Written by: Alec Peden - Posted in: tv

Most Lost theories, and there are many, are total crap, but this is by far the best and most thought out one I’ve seen so far.

read more | digg story

Picked this up on digg today. Really good theory that i would like to see be right for a change. The whole collective conscious theory gives everything a so much deeper meaning. I remember when i was watching Serial Experiments Lain and they were touching on a lot of cyberpunk themes. There was something called the Wired which not unlike our Internet, connected people together. The difference was it used Carl Yung’s collective unconscious theory. The Wired was connecting everyone using Schumann resonance. Electromagnetism using a very low frequency, somewhere between 5-10Hz. So instead of wires and input devices to connect us, i.e. the internet, the Wired connected everyone using there minds all running at this low frequency. Most people will see the similarities to the Matrix. Some really good food for thought stuff here. I really enjoyed Lain and am a little bit more excited to see if Lost is using this kinda background as a plot basis. I do think i will break out the Lain DVDs this weekend and watch them again as my interest is now piqued again.
