Back in July, i bought a new FujiFilm V10 digital camera to replace my aging HP Photosmart 315. I wanted to get into photography a little but never found the time. Well, with the start of the New Year, I’m going to start my own Project 365 by taking a photo every day. This will help me learn more about photography and just help document my life in a whole new way.

Remember those free Flickr Minicards from Moo a few weeks ago. After one lost shipments and a couple emails, I finally received mine today. Very nice alternative to business cards. My photos didn’t come out that great which I attribute to all of them being taken with my old shitty HP Photosmart 315 camera. The Skype Minicards looks really cool too but while I have a Skype account, I do not have a SkypeOut account.

Received my Valleyschwag 4 shipment today. Nice shipment this month. Some standard issue stickers, a cool Perplexcity puzzle and and a sweet mobiTV mini lawn-chair. T-Shirt is pretty cool, from Videoegg. Was hoping for something other than black this month but oh well, nice looking shirt regardless.

Based on some reviews from Kevin and Gizmondo, I decided to order a Timbuk2 Blogger bag. Receieve it today and have some pics of it up on Flickr. My Macbook fits perfectly and is comfortable when carrying it so I’m happy. I’ll see how the week goes with all my stuff in it.

The switch is complete. On Saturday, I bought my first computer and it was a Apple Macbook. Now, I’ve owned computers before, alot of them as a matter of fact, but this is the first one I have ever purchased. In the past I’ve build all my PC, even built a PC just to run OS X. The fact is I probably wouldn’t be a Mac user today if OS X wasn’t cracked and distributed online.

Now for the goodies. I got the 2.0GHz Macbook in white with stock memory and hard drive. I’ve already ordered 2GB RAM for this and in a week or two I will order a 120GB Hard Drive to swap out. As is tho, this thing screams. Easily the best computer i’ve ever owned. I was alittle but off in the store by the 13.1″ screen but after using it I have to say the screen is absolutely brilliant, i love the glossy screen. The keyboard took about a day to get use to now I’m using it like a pro. The touchpad is great, can scroll pages and right click, and it works far better than i expected. I was assuming i would have to connect a mouse to it but there is no need with the new trackpad. So far I’m in love. I’m still in the process of setting it up and reinstalling apps and really wont be able to give it a run for its money til i get the upgraded RAM and HDD.

Since I had to send back my motherboard for RMA and I probably wont get it back til next month, I probably won’t be posting much. So in the mean time, short multi-topic posts are my friend.

Based on an article on 43folders.com the other day, I picked up a Jimi Wallet myself today. I have some Before and After pics up on my Flickr. I’m liking it so far, tho I’m always checking to see if I have my wallet with me
now.

Been listening to the new Taking Back Sunday. I was really looking forward to it and i wouldn’t go as far as saying I’m disappointed but Taking Back Sunday - John Nolan + Major Label = not good. Song writing has taken a turn, even there song titles are now actually lyrics in the songs. �MakeDamnSure� is a great song, lot of TAYF in there. Only other song I’m feeling is �I’ll Let You Live�. But, its only been day one so maybe it will grow one me, who knows.

Issues:
Ventrilo and Teamspeex can only use Speex codec, default is GSM, Have to change it on the server to work.

Needed to used a patched version of Azureus
