I’ll be on my third XBOX 360 due to the 3 rings of death and have to send this piece of crap in to be fixed. Which is a common problem as I read different blogs. What a joke!!! What are the odds that I get two faulty XBOX systems within 6 months????? They are trash. I’ll never buy another Microsoft game system or game for this garbage system I’m stuck with… EVER!!!!. My Sony Playstation (the original, mind you) still works to this day. When I get my 360 back from Microsoft, I’m taking a sledge hammer to it, post the video on You Tube, and then show me going into a store to purchase a Sony Playstation 3 like I should have done in the first place. I think loosing the initial $700 I spent on the garbage system, controllers, and the games is worth it! Save yourself some time, money, and sanity. Buy a Sony PS3!!!

well said my friend! i knew they were shit when i had 1 sitting next to my old ps2 and it gathered dust whilst the sony monster was spinning discs and giving me top entertainment! now i am the proud owner of (an albeit expensive) a ps3. at the end of the day, as the old saying goes- “you pay cheap, you get cheap!”. and microshaft (oops i mean microsoft) are corner cutting cheap assed crap merchants. why do you think the 360 was out a whole year before ps3? because they were DESPERATE to sell more of them, and in rushing them out, their build quality was compromised. and as for 20GB HDD- what a joke! have you seen how much the 120HDDs cost? i spent half the amount on a 120GB sata HDD for my ps3, its been on for hours everyday since launch day, and hasnt broken out into a tiny sweat as of yet! They are a lump of shit on a stick!!!!
1) they over heat like shit! at room temperatyre , playing it for 15 minutes and it will be at about 60 degrees! and for an hour , and in a hot climate , it can get to a hundred!
2) the red ring of doom/death watever is a load of bollocks! Why the fuck put it on there if they could spend the time fixing it!
3) The contorllers are massive and are heavy as fuck!
4) They cost altogether more than a PS3! It cost £200 for a console , £60 for a router , £40 per year for internet , that £300, same as a ps3 , then you got to buy another controller for mates , another £40 , then you got to buy some games , cost you about £90 for to , when £80 can buy you 2 blu-ray HD discs for the PS3 instead!

BUY THE PS3!!!!!! ITS A LOT CHEAPER IN THE LONG TERM!

My 360 shat itself before christmas due to RoD. After 4 phonecalls I was finally sent the damn shipping material. Got it back 2 weeks ago and it has been running fine and giving me plenty of COD 4 action… until it shat itself again tonight with Ring of Death once again. 2 weeks after repair???!! That’s fucked up! I asked for a new console and a bunch of free stuff… and was shot down straight away.

you know what, i have had my ps2 for years and it runs like a trooper, had this shitbox (x-box) for 15 months and now its fucked, hmmm what to do, either have it repaired and wait 5-6 weeks and then prob get sent another one that dont work, or go buy a RELIABLE ps3, think i know which one ;) FUCK YOU X-BOX

PS3 is a reliable, enjoyable console and I know it’s only cosmetic but it looks class also. I’ve gone through three 360’s in the last two years, they told me I had to get air conditioning…….WTF? I then bought a PS3. Sony is experienced in the consumer electronics market, let them make the consoles Microsoft.

my mate got a shitbox and wile i was over he turned it on and the rings of deth came on.
i got my ps3 and ive been playin it non stop 4 a year and i got know heating worries wutsoever.

I don’t think Xbox is a shit. In fact, this is the most advanced system introduced by Microsoft. We have different experience with Xbox 360 but I must say that I really enjoyed this one.

i have an xbox360 its pure crap; like a big steaming donkey turd, yes with little bits of corn and hay in it!

i’ll give you reasons why its bad

cd playback; you can’t fastfoward a track when listening to a cd
cd audio quality is bad, horrific when connecting to a av receiver or stereo amp, too harsh, abbrasive, patchy.
dvd playback is shit, you can’t play multiregion, you can’t play vcd, you can’t play divx.
you can’t put any codecs on this machine.
its too loud! its like a rocket ship or jet engine, sometimes you think the aliens have invaded, quick mel gibson get ur baseball bat!
Media centre is slow.

positives
it gets hot so you don’t have to switch on the radiator!
it sometimes gets the r.o.d so you don’t have to use it!
(fanbase internet gaming)
it gives you a reason never to buy a games console, or anything electrical with the microsoft written on it!

time to buy a ps3.

for what you spent on 4 360’s + games, etc. you could’ve bought a ps3 and a good hdtv. i’ve had my ps3 for a year and it’s probably the best purchase i ever made. i know you’re a microsoft dude and all, but seriously, there’s a point at which that’s a bit ridiculous – and it’s the 3rd time you buy the system.

do yourself a favor – buy a ps3.

XBox 360 is a defective product.
Microsoft continues to sell a defective product for hundreds of dollars. I would be more than happy to join in a class action law suite against Microsoft.

Purchasing a ps3 tomorrow after my “repaired” xbox got the red ring of death. Microsoft “support” line was going to charge me $130 to fix their (2nd!) defective 360. Everyone I know with an Xbox has had the RROD, and everyone with a playstation loves it.

No more Microsoft, ever.
